Environmental standards at STOLLE
Environmentally oriented thinking and action are essential factors of our corporate philosophy. Our goal is to minimise the impact of our operations on the environment and our neighbourhood.
Beyond compliance with legal requirements, we are therefore committed to continuous improvement of operational environmental protection as well as environmental management.
Low emission values
The production processes at STOLLE are constantly monitored. The materials, production processes and technical equipment used are checked for their potential hazards and, if necessary, improved - or replaced by more environmentally friendly alternatives. Modern cupola furnaces with post-combustion as well as generously dimensioned waste gas purification and dust removal systems ensure that the emission limits set by law are kept far below. We also expect our contractual partners to comply with environmental protection requirements.
High recycling rate
Waste materials are either returned to the production process or recycled in an environmentally friendly way: by using modern sand processing plants, 97 percent of the furan sand can be reused for core production. Cast iron scrap is melted down and processed into new grey cast iron. Slag is used in road construction. The extracted dusts are reused in external recycling companies.
